Frequently Asked Questions
  • The towers are 3.9 miles on a well maintained gravel road. About a 15 min drive to downtown Wallace — close enough for a quick run into town.

  • Each tower has a small cabin at ground level that holds your private bathroom and wood-fired sauna. Inside, you’ll find a clean dry-flush toilet.

We don’t have traditional showers. The Half Moon Tower has a seasonal bucket shower when temps allow, and in warmer months most guests use the swimming hole as their very enthusiastic version of a rinse.

For late-night emergencies, there’s a chamber pot in the lookout so you don’t have to trek downstairs in the dark.

  • Yes — we’re pet-friendly! Each tower has dog bowls, a medium dog bed, and a dog blanket you can use (or you’re welcome to bring your own), especially if your dog is a heavy shedder.

A quick note about the towers: the stairs are steep and 30 feet high. Most dogs figure them out after a couple practice runs, but some freeze or panic.

If your pup struggles with open stairs — or if you’d have to carry them — please think about whether you’d feel comfortable climbing while holding a dog and not using the handrail. We want your trip to be safe and stress-free for both of you.

  • The kitchen keeps things simple in the best possible way: a big ice chest (grab ice before you head up), a pump-faucet sink with a few gallons of water for your stay, and a reliable two-burner propane stove. We’ve got the essentials covered — salt, pepper, oil, local coffee, tea, and hot chocolate — plus all the pots, pans, and utensils you’ll want.

Wallace also has some amazing restaurants. Many guests head into town for meals, especially in winter — just note that if you’re riding the snowcat shuttle up, once you're here, you’re here, so plan your meals before you ascend.
